I've got a list a mile long of things I want to do before I go back to work.

Did I tell you? I am going back to work.

lilas scrapbook. backyard camping. family bike ride.

zoo. sew something. 

and spend quite a few moments 

letting the laundry pile up. the sills collect dust. and loving on my crew.

taking the day.

or maybe two.

we survived.

our first renovation.

ripped up the hardwood floors in our bath.

and put down marble tile.

it was dusty. dirty. and a drag.

it was just several months ago that we laid those hardwood floors.

and again, I use that term. we. loosely.

but so totally worth it.

summer baby.

the past few summers have brought me babies.

the season. the smells. the sights. 

it is to me all things baby.

and as a little part of me deeply misses that huge watermelon tummy.

and sweet smell of a newborns skin.

I am so happy to announce our family's 

summer baby.

picked yesterday at 3:40 from our very own garden.

weighing in at 9 lbs. 5 oz.

I am one proud mama.

this child loves books.

I dont know where he gets it from.

a dad that is always reading. at least two books.

and a kindergarten teacher for a mom.

needless to say we have collected quite a mass of great books.
